Valentine’s Day at the NOSPR / Love Story

Love is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for artists and a theme that never fails to resonate with audiences. Even if, for most of the year, we tend to shy away from overt sentimentality and keep grand passions at a distance, there is one evening when we let them in. On Valentine’s Day, we invite you to share in love stories told through the greatest hits from film, musical, and jazz repertoire. Expect moments charged with emotion, including the iconic Love Story and excerpts from the musical Beauty and the Beast. The programme will also feature beloved songs such as Kiss from a Rose, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, and I Will Always Love You, songs that have accompanied countless love declarations. The more ardent impulses of the heart will find expression in Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango. This repertoire may seem familiar, yet it reveals itself anew. At the NOSPR, these well-known pieces will sound in specially created symphonic arrangements by Paweł Tomaszewski, performed by exceptional soloists. Fresh interpretations, orchestral colours in full bloom, and fascinating stories – for this evening, it is certainly worth letting love in. And it is certainly worth coming to the NOSPR.
