Paweł Tomaszewski - NOSPR

Pianist, composer, arranger, music producer, and conductor. Professor at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he serves as Dean of the Jazz and Popular Music Department.

Winner of the Grand Prix and individual awards at all major jazz competitions in Poland. Nominated for the Fryderyk Award 2024 in the category Jazz Artist of the Year.

An artist with an impressive international career - he has performed on stages around the world, collaborating with leading figures in jazz and popular music from Poland and abroad. His artistic partners include, among others, Kurt Elling, Nigel Kennedy, Steve Vai, China Moses, Eric Marienthal, Dean Brown, Michael “Patches” Stewart, Michał Urbaniak, Anna Maria Jopek, Urszula Dudziak, Edyta Górniak, Kuba Badach, and Kinga Głyk.

In the 2021/2022 artistic season, he served as Artist-in-Residence at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin. In May 2023, his original album Coincidence was released, recorded with the Philharmonic’s Symphony Orchestra and invited guest artists - the album was nominated for the Fryderyk Award 2024 in the category Jazz Album of the Year.

Co-creator of Natalia Kukulska’s double-platinum album Czułe Struny. As a session musician, he has participated in the recording of over 50 albums, including several as a leader or co-leader. He also has extensive experience as a conductor, arranger, and music director in television, film, and radio projects.

In 2015, he was awarded the Golden Laurel of Skills and Competences in the field of Culture.
