JazzKLUB / Big Band Śląski / Aga Zaryan / Great Jazz - NOSPR

Too many things come together in this concert for it to be anything other than a major event. Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski called the Big Band Śląski the finest Polish big band in history – and when a master says so, there is no arguing. Energy, precision and the full spectrum of colours of a modern jazz orchestra: big really is beautiful! Add to that an outstanding team of arrangers – Michał Tokaj, Michał Tomaszczyk and Bartosz Pernal. Then there is the great tradition of Polish jazz and song, represented in the programme by music by Komeda, Namysłowski, Matuszkiewicz, Karolak and Stańko. And finally, there is her—the queen of Polish jazz singing, Aga Zaryan, who captivates her audience from the very first word she sings. Greatness in every sense of the word.
