Concert Featuring the Winner of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition - NOSPR
Concert Featuring the Winner of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition
Who is going to win this year? That is the question echoing among all who are closely following the lead-up to the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. Few events hold greater prestige on the global musical map. For nearly a century, the world’s finest young pianists have competed here for the top prize, each bringing their own breathtaking virtuosity to astonish audiences with ever fresh perspective on the music of Fryderyk Chopin. Taking part in the competition is, in itself, an immense honour, and winning it opens the door to an international career. Come October, we will be following the contestants’ efforts for the 19th time. In the course of several weeks, the world’s attention will turn to Warsaw, but shortly after the final results are announced, the first prize winner will appear live at the NOSPR! For now, the soloist’s name and the programme of the concert remain a mystery, but one thing is certain – we can expect piano artistry of the highest order and an experience that will linger long in our memory. This is an evening not to be missed.
