AUKSO x Hadrian Filip Tabęcki / Film Music / Hans’ World
Imagine you are a Roman gladiator. Or the captain of a pirate ship sailing the trade routes of the western Atlantic in search of easy plunder. Now imagine crossing the event horizon and hurtling towards the singularity at the very heart of a black hole, only to emerge some eight thousand years later on the surface of a mysterious desert planet. What do you hear? Yes—Hans Zimmer's music. The composer who has been furnishing the imagination of not just one, but perhaps already two or even three generations with sound. How do the pianist-composers, father and son Hadrian and Jan Tabęcki, hear this Zimmerian world? They combine a solid academic education with broad musical horizons and the courage to break aesthetic taboos. Hadrian has already created music for the rock adaptation of The Teutonic Knights and the musical version of Day of the Wacko. Jan is equally at home performing Beethoven, working on film sets and playing in clubs. Their own takes on Dune, Gladiator and Batman are certain to surprise us.
