CONDUCTING WORKSHOPS WITH MARIN ALSOP - NOSPR
Season 26/27
CONDUCTING WORKSHOPS WITH MARIN ALSOP

THE 6TH EDITION OF THE CONDUCTING WORKSHOPS WITH MARIN ALSOP AT THE NOSPR IN DECEMBER 2026!
This is an opportunity to take part in an extraordinary educational initiative – studying conducting under the guidance of Marin Alsop – in an exceptionally engaging and participant-friendly format: with the NOSPR Orchestra and the NOSPR Academy chamber ensemble, in concert halls that inspire universal admiration – and with no fee for participating in the masterclasses!
The workshops will take place from December 10 to 18, 2026, and, as in the previous edition, in addition to the classical repertoire, they will also feature contemporary works—excerpts resulting from the collaboration between the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and the organizers of Composer.pl, a residency program for young composers.
Young conductors selected during the recruitment process will have the opportunity to lead the NOSPR Academy chamber ensemble and the NOSPR orchestra.
The repertoire for the workshops will include:
Johannes Brahms – Symphony No. 2, Op. 73
Johannes Brahms – Tragic Overture, Op. 81
Maria Trzpis, Alina Dzięcioł – excerpts from works commissioned by the NOSPR as part of the composer.pl program
You can apply here:

The workshops are open to young conductors of any nationality who are currently students or graduates of Polish or foreign music academies, and who, on the date of submitting the application form, are at least 18 years old and under 35 years of age. The application requirements regarding recordings will remain the same as in previous editions (any two contrasting pieces or excerpts thereof, featuring musicians—an orchestra, an instrumental ensemble, or a piano, —demonstrating the candidate’s conducting skills, in at least HD quality).
We invite you to participate!
