Tymoteusz Bies returns to the NOSPR as artist-in-residence for the 2020/2021 season. He begins with quite a challenge: Bohuslav Martinů’s Concerto for piano trio and string orchestra requires the pianist to be soloist, chamber musician and member of the orchestra all in one. That sounds like an ideal task for such a versatile artist as Tymoteusz Bies. And a trio uniting Bies with Piotr Tarcholik and Natalia Kurzac-Kotula will certainly delight the audience.
