JazzKLUB / Voices of Colours / Different Hues of Freedom - NOSPR
JazzKLUB / Voices of Colours / Different Hues of Freedom
An international project and, in the case of the percussionist, trumpeter, and bassist, a friendship that dates back to their studies at Berklee College of Music at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute, Boston. Voices of Colours was initiated by Martin Valihora, a Slovak percussionist in high demand across Europe, during the presidency of Slovakia in the Visegrád Group, which served as the catalyst for the project. The musical initiative proved so fruitful and inspiring that the artists resolved to continue their collaboration, performing at numerous international festivals and on major stages, most notably Carnegie Hall. Four distinctive personalities, four vibrant and exceptional voices, and their own original compositions. Joining the leader are: one of the foremost figures on the Hungarian scene, trumpeter Kornél Fekete-Kovács, the acclaimed Polish pianist Piotr Wyleżoł, and the Italian bass virtuoso Daniele Camarda. The ensemble’s name is anything but accidental.
