On May 10th 2026, we invite you to the NOSPR concert hall in Katowice for a unique concert, a project by Anna Maria Jopek and Makoto Ozone Trio entitled “TRiNFiNiTY.”
The concert will be a meeting of artists with unique personalities and established international reputations, representing the highest level of world jazz and improvised music.
Anna Maria Jopek is one of Poland's most recognizable singers and composers, who has been building her career for years at the intersection of jazz, world music, folklore, and modern improvisation. Her work is characterized by artistic independence, attention to sound, and a strong, personal musical language. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with some of the most prominent figures in world jazz, including Pat Metheny, Branford Marsalis, Richard Bona, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Avishai Cohen, Manu Katché, Makoto Ozone, and many other outstanding musicians from the European and American scenes. Her concerts are valued for their emotional intensity, freedom of improvisation, and close contact with the audience.
Makoto Ozone is one of Japan's most outstanding jazz pianists, composers, and band leaders, recognized as an artist with exceptional technique and musical imagination. From the beginning of his career, he has been involved in both jazz and classical music. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Gary Burton, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Branford Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Paquito D'Rivera, Dave Weckl, Jeff Hamilton, and many other leading musicians on the world jazz scene. As the leader of the Makoto Ozone Trio, he presents music based on dialogue, precision, and open improvisation, creating a sound full of energy and subtlety.
The concert program at NOSPR will include original compositions and joint projects by the artists, including the latest album recorded between Warsaw and Tokyo, AMJ & Makoto Ozone Trio. There will also be improvised pieces in which Anna Maria Jopek's voice and Makoto Ozone's piano engage in a musical dialogue that transcends stylistic boundaries. This evening will appeal to audiences looking for mature, sophisticated, and emotionally engaging jazz. We highly recommend it and invite you to join us.
