Snarky Puppy – Somni World Tour 2026
One of the most popular funk bands in the world is returning to Poland! This September, Snarky Puppy will perform in Katowice, and the concert will be part of the European tour promoting their album „Somni”, released in November.
Snarky Puppy is a kind of collective band consisting of as many as 20 regularly rotating members. At its core, the band’s music blends elements of both Black and white American musical culture, enriched with influences from around the world.
“Over the years, our sonic landscape has expanded significantly,” says the band’s leader, Michael League. “When the band started, we were more jazz-oriented, cerebral, and focused on musicianship. As we began performing in Dallas, we became more groove-based, more emotional, and, in a way, deeper. We focused more on delivering a clear message that listeners could understand, without unnecessary simplifications,” he adds.
The evolution of the band’s musical output means that each new album is born from a fresh vision and direction. In January 2025, the band once again collaborated with the Metropole Orkesr. It resulted in a recording session and finally the album Somni, released in November 2025. The music was recorded over three nights in January in Utrecht.
“So far, it’s the most ambitious project we’ve completed… and at the same time, one of the most efficiently recorded,” says Michael League, adding that it is very encouraging to see that, despite the passing years, Snarky Puppy’s music continues to receive an outstanding response from audiences.
“Our principle is that nothing can sound repetitive. Music has to feel like it’s going somewhere,” League explains. So where is Snarky Puppy heading? The musicians don’t know the answer, but they are certain it is toward an exciting future.
The concert is organized by Good Taste Production.
Concert duration: approximately 90 minutes
