Between Structure and Improvisation - NOSPR
Between Structure and Improvisation
This concert marks a meeting of brothers, virtuosi, and distinctive musical personalities – once again Julian and Henryk Gembalski will appear together on stage to engage in a sonic dialogue between two contrasting yet complementary worlds. Jointly, they will present a programme that resists simple generic or stylistic classification, poised between classical music and jazz, between structure and improvisation. In the hands of these exceptional musicians, the organ, piano, and violin will sound both traditional and, without doubt, surprise listeners with experimental sonorities. The programme will feature both composed works and those that allow space for unrestrained improvisation. Among them will be Dialogues for Two Improvisers – a musical conversation between two closely connected artists, combining experience, intuition, and the freedom of creation.
