JazzKLUB / Sylwester Ostrowski & The Jazz Brigade feat. Freddie Hendrix / Swinging Bop - NOSPR

The impulse to form the Jazz Brigade came from two extraordinary figures – its ‘godfathers’ are none other than Wynton Marsalis and Darius Brubeck. Founded in 2018, the ensemble will soon celebrate its 10th anniversary. The decade has been marked by numerous performances on international stages and by the release of the 2022 album We Are The Jazz Brigade. The Jazz Brigade is jointly led by saxophonist Sylwester Ostrowski, who, alongside his performing career, also organises and helps energise the jazz scene both locally and across Poland, and by trumpeter Freddie Hendrix, whose credits include collaborations with the Count Basie Orchestra and the Christian McBride Big Band. The Jazz Brigade offers audiences an engaging programme rooted in the tradition of swinging bop.
