JazzKLUB / Richard Andersson Trio feat. Sullivan Fortner & Jorge Rossy / A Trio with a Shared History - NOSPR

Bassist Richard Andersson, one of the hardest-working musicians on the Danish jazz scene, presents a remarkable new trio with all-star line-up. Drummer and vibraphonist Jorge Rossy has collaborated with Andersson on numerous recording sessions. Andersson himself is a highly sought-after sideman who has appeared on nearly 200 (!) albums, alongside such artists as Brad Mehldau, Wayne Shorter and Charlie Haden. Sullivan Fortner, meanwhile, was Andersson’s classmate at the Manhattan School of Music. The pianist also appeared on Andersson's debut album. Now, as a three-time Grammy Award winner, he has joined the Richard Andersson Trio. Their album, to be released in March 2027, will feature the leader’s original compositions, works by Bill Evans and a selection of jazz standards.
