JazzKLUB / Marek Napiórkowski Sextet / A Relay Across Generations - NOSPR

The honours and distinctions Marek Napiórkowski has received over the course of his career make for an almost endless list. It includes accolades in the prestigious Jazz Forum poll, a Fryderyk award, a Mateusz award from Polish Radio Programme 3, nominations for the Polish Film Awards ‘Orły’ (Eagles), and Coryphaeus of Polish Music awards. An equally long list could be made of the musicians with whom Napiórkowski has collaborated and those who have appeared as guests on his albums. The guitarist's own sextet can justifiably be described as an all-star ensemble, bringing together undisputed stars of the Polish jazz scene representing several generations. The sextet's live recordings from 2016, made at Polish Radio Three's studio, received a Fryderyk nomination. Audiences can therefore look forward to an evening of first-rate, compelling music.
