JazzKLUB / Klawo XL / A Collective Without Borders - NOSPR

The blend of hip-hop and funk with jazz has taken the world by storm, winning over large audiences and captivating younger generations of musicians. The Polish music scene, too, has produced bands that have explored this artistic territory with equal energy and success. Among the most distinctive is the Tricity collective Klawo. Since 2022, they have released five recordings, including two live releases, among them one recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival. They play the kind of music they themselves enjoy as listeners, drawing inspiration from leading bands on the London, Los Angeles and Chicago scenes. They also embrace unique collaborations, as demonstrated by their recordings with musicians from Osaka, Japan. Bold improvisation, unexpected references and a touch of musical humour are all things audiences can look forward to at their concert.
