JAZZ ONE NIGHT PRESENTS: BRAD MEHLDAU AND CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE - NOSPR
JAZZ ONE NIGHT PRESENTS: BRAD MEHLDAU AND CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE
One of the most important jazz events in Poland in 2026!
Two legends of contemporary jazz will perform together in a unique concert at NOSPR! This is a rare opportunity to see and hear these internationally acclaimed musicians—considered among the greatest jazz
artists—performing in an unusual duet format.

BRAD MEHLDAU
One of the most lyrical and intimate voices of contemporary jazz piano, Brad
Mehldau has forged a unique path that embodies the essence of jazz exploration,
classical romanticism, and pop allure. From critical acclaim as a bandleader to
international fame through collaborations with Pat Metheny, Renée Fleming, and
Joshua Redman, Mehldau continues to receive numerous awards and admiration from both jazz purists and music lovers alike.
His explorations in blending musical idioms—both in trio and solo formats—have
resulted in brilliant reinterpretations of works by contemporary composers such as The Beatles, Cole Porter, Radiohead, Paul Simon, Gershwin, and Nick Drake, alongside an ever-expanding and impressive catalogue of his own compositions.
With his devotion to popular music and classical training, “Mehldau is the most
influential jazz pianist of the past 20 years.” (The New York Times)
CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE
A nine-time GRAMMY-winning bassist, composer, and bandleader, Christian
McBride is the Artistic Director of the historic Newport Jazz Festival, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. He is also a respected educator and youth advocate, serving as Artistic Director of Jazz House KiDS and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Summer Sessions.
In addition to his work as an artistic director and regular touring with his
ensembles, he hosts NPR’s “Jazz Night in America” and “The Lowdown:
Conversations With Christian” on SiriusXM.
Whether performing on the bass or away from it, Christian McBride is always part of the music. From jazz to R&B, from pop/rock and hip-hop/neo-soul to classical, he is a musical luminary—one hand reaching for new challenges, the other extended in fellowship—inviting us to join him.
The Mehldau/McBride duet at NOSPR promises an extraordinary musical
experience, full of mastery, emotion, and the remarkable energy radiating from the stage. Both musicians have performed together many times, and every joint appearance is a showcase of their phenomenal musical chemistry. The March concert at NOSPR will surely be a magical experience for all music lovers.
