Akademia NOSPR / NOI Festival - NOSPR
Akademia NOSPR / NOI Festival
International collaboration has long been one of the cornerstones of the NOSPR Academy’s programme, offering young musicians opportunities for professional development, the exchange of experience and the forging of connections with artists from around the world. The Academy’s programme includes collaborative projects with renowned institutions abroad, enabling participants to gain valuable experience of working in an international musical environment. On 21 March 2027, the NOSPR Academy will once again join forces with the National Orchestral Institute + Festival (USA), inviting audiences to a joint concert that will mark the culmination of an artistic encounter between young musicians from Poland and the United States.
The concert will bring together young musicians from both countries once again, presenting a programme that explores music as an ongoing dialogue between tradition and modernity.
A particular highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of a new work by American composer Nathan Lincoln DeCusatis, written especially for the collaboration between the NOSPR Academy and the National Orchestral Institute + Festival. The work will be premiered by participants from both programmes, lending the premiere a distinctive international dimension.
The concert programme will also feature works by leading composers of the 20th and 21st centuries: Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Caroline Shaw, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Jacques Ibert. Together, these compositions reveal different approaches to reinterpreting musical tradition, taking listeners on a journey from inspirations drawn from folk music and classical forms to the musical language of our time.
This event represents far more than a single concert. It is an encounter between young artists who, through making music together, sharing experiences and engaging in creative collaboration, forge connections that transcend national and cultural boundaries.
We warmly invite you to join us in discovering new meanings within musical tradition and to be part of this exceptional event.
Concert duration: approximately 80 minutes
