Kit Downes is one of those artists whose talent is accompanied by a diversity of inspirations and a richness of utilized means. A versatilely educated British pianist and organist, he doesn't hesitate to weave threads drawn from chamber music, pop, rock, or church music into his improvised art.

His trio Enemy, fitting into the canon of the European school of improvisation, while deeply rooted in contemporary jazz music, is able to extend far beyond the norms and habits of listeners with its creativity.
