Hania Rani: „Non Fiction: Piano Concerto in Four Movements” / NOSPR / Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2026
Tickets are available here.
Hania Rani will perform her first piano concerto accompanied by the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. The monumental NOSPR concert hall will become the stage for the inauguration of a festival that for two decades has explored the elusive and enchanting aspects of music. "Non Fiction: Piano Concerto in Four Movements" is a symphonic piece inspired by the work of Josima Feldszuh – a young composer from the Warsaw Ghetto. Hania Rani intertwines this history with images of contemporary conflicts in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, examining the coexistence of harmony and chaos. She creates a sonic metaphor for the survival of the human spirit in the face of violence. Hania Rani's musical power lies in combining intimate sensitivity with bold ideas – and it is this combination that fascinates audiences worldwide. A classically trained pianist, vocalist, and composer, she has released over a dozen solo and collaborative albums, as well as music for film, theatre, and art installations. It is in this unique way – with music that combines the intimacy of the piano with the grandeur of a symphony orchestra – that we will open the 21st edition of the festival. This is just the beginning of our announcements – we will soon reveal more surprises for TNMK 2026.
Concert duration (intermission included): approximately 120 minutes
