Paris Mozart Orchestra / Claire Gibault / Stephanie Childress / Danae Dörken
There are but a few orchestras in the world that put so much work and energy into operating social and educational enterprises. Maybe it is a sign of the times: Paris Mozart Orchestra was created in 2011, its originator being Clare Gibault – Gardiner’s assistant during his directorship at the Opéra National de Lyon, the first woman to conduct at La Scala, and later a Member of European Parliament sitting on its Committee on Culture and Education and Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality. The musicians will be led by Stephanie Childress – a conductor who is not even 23 years old, but her talent has already spurred critics to set it alongside the beginnings of Rattle’s and Gardiner’s great careers. Danae Dörken will sit down at the piano – an artist just a little older than her. We can await an evening marked by female sensitiveness and irrefutable artistic competence.
