Organ Concert for Families / Chamber Music with the Organ - NOSPR
Organ Concert for Families / Chamber Music with the Organ
The organ is an instrument of extraordinary sonic richness. Capable of imitating an astonishing variety of timbres and equipped with an immense palette of stops, it can evoke the sound of an entire orchestra. Yet the organ is by no means confined to solo performance.
Together with other instruments, the organ reveals even more of its possibilities. This concert offers the perfect opportunity to hear that for ourselves, as the marimba, oboe and harp each join the organ in works by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Franck, Grandjany and Nägele.
The concert also serves as a preview of The Sound of the Organ, a series of lecture-concerts taking place throughout the 2026/2027 season, featuring not only the organ but also NOSPR chamber musicians.
Concert duration: approximately 60 minutes
Free admission. Seating is limited. Free unreserved tickets will be available from the NOSPR box office from 24 August.
