FLAMENCO / Anna Colom with her band Katowice Culture Nature Festival „Melancholy and Ecstasy” - NOSPR
FLAMENCO / Anna Colom with her band / Katowice Culture Nature Festival „Melancholy and Ecstasy”
A sensory-friendly concert as part of the Espressivo series.
Flamenco, with its origins in Andalusia, brings together song, dance, rhythm, and a striking intensity of expression. For this very reason, it resonates strongly with one dimension of this year’s festival theme – Melancholy and Ecstasy. This music is charged with tension, temperament, and energy, and it does not stop at the performers on stage, but spreads just as easily to the audience. We would like to invite you to a special instalment of the sensory-friendly Espressivo concert series, in which we shall create a space conducive to those seeking the fullest intensity of expression.
The star of the evening will be Anna Colom – a Barcelona-born singer, musician, composer, and arranger who is considered one of the more intriguing figures in contemporary flamenco. She studied at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) and at the Fundación Cristina Heeren de Arte Flamenco in Seville. She has long appeared in theatres and tablaos in Barcelona, Madrid, and Andalusia, and has also performed in New Zealand, the United States, China, Mexico, and Switzerland. Polish audiences may recall her appearance in Manuel de Falla’s El amor brujo (Love, the Magician), presented as part of a NOSPR symphonic educational concert conducted by Irene Delgado-Jiménez. This time, Anna Colom invites the audience into the world of flamenco – music marked by rhythm-driven passion and expressive emotion.
Free admission.
