Kaleidoscope / Project Ocean – Whale Rave and Other Stories - NOSPR

The ocean can be heard – not necessarily as the sound of waves, but rather as a vast realm filled with sounds that do not normally reach our ears. This concert invites us to dive into an underwater world where music and images come together to tell a story.

The concert hall will be transformed into an aquarium shimmering with light, inhabited by fantastic creatures and filled with sounds inspired by life beneath the surface of the water. Music by George Crumb, Alex South and Camille Saint-Saëns will be combined with original visuals and stories drawn from different cultures. Together, they will create a space in which the boundary between a concert and a shared voyage of discovery begins to blur.

This time, what matters will be finding the answers together. Can music imitate water? Can we make music together with animals? How many times can a whale song be heard in a single concert? And perhaps together we will come up with new musical theories and solutions?

This is a concert that encourages us to look, listen, imagine and discover. Because sometimes, to take a closer look at our own world, it is worth diving into a completely different one for a while.
