JazzKLUB / Katowice JazzArt Festival presents: Yumi Ito – Ysla - NOSPR

A Switzerland-based singer, pianist, and composer of Polish Japanese roots. She gives regular performances around the world – with a little luck, one can hear her at the Blue Note club in New York, while a little perseverance will find her at the most significant European agency working in jazz music. The timbre of her voice is very warm and pleasant for the ear, while her musical sensitivity is extraordinary. She feels equally comfortable in art-pop pieces with simple melodic lines characterised by long sounds and in mad-tempo improvisations. In her performing mastery, Yumi Ito remains natural and pretenseless, which leaves one looking at her and listening to her in utmost admiration.
