JazzKLUB / Kinva - NOSPR
JazzKLUB / Kinva
Kinva is a traditional Ukrainian wooden vessel used for storage and consumption of beverages. The music of the trio is just like such a vessel, where beautiful folk melodies and modern jazz blend together. Ukrainian traditional music can be quite complex, and when reimagined by Litvinyuk and Hnydyn, it becomes even more intricate. However, what reaches the listener exudes a sense of naturalness and freedom, as if challenging meters sometimes change every few measures without effort. The band has released a wonderful album, but their true element is concerts: incredibly emotional and dynamic. Tradition and modernity interweave in Kinva harmoniously and spectacularly, much like in a traditional Ukrainian embroidery.
