In one of her interviews, Joanna Duda said: ‘What is important is the message, and not the generally accepted canons of studio quality, the latter sometimes distracting both the listener’s and the musicians’ attention [from the former]’. However, both the studio quality and the stylistic-aesthetic canons are ones Joanna has mastered. Thus, it is probably for this reason that even the most diverse inspirations, instrumental interests and daring experiments assume the form of a most coherent artistic utterance in her music.

An unbelievably talented pianist and a daring explorer of electronic sounds, she founded her trio with Maksymilian Mucha and Michał Bryndal in 2017. They debuted at the jazzahead! in Bremen. Since then, the trio has become a most significant spot on the map of Polish jazz and improvised music, and its concerts have never left the listeners unaffected.
