Their debutant album, Tone Hunting, was released on Clean Feed, one of the world’s most important labels. It found recognition with critics and audiences alike and marked the beginning of activity for one of the most exquisite improvised music ensembles in Europe.
However, it took several years’ waiting until we were presented with another episode of the group’s activities.
The Portuguese drumming visionary Vasco Trilla replaced Kuba Suchar, and thus, with rearranged membership, Artur Majewski and Rafał Mazur – key pieces on the European free improv music chessboard – and the Berlin-based alto saxophonist Anna Kaluza, the group recorded another album, The Night of the Swift, listed by The Spontaneous Music Tribune blog as one of the best improvised music recordings of 2020.
