Where electronics meet the body. Two strong personalities create something that defies categorization. Aho Ssan is a Parisian composer and producer whose music—situated at the intersection of experimentation, electronics, and noise—raises questions about identity, memory, and systemic violence. His albums Rhizomes and Simulacrum earned him critical acclaim worldwide and a permanent place in the programs of major experimental music festivals. Resina is Karolina Rec—a Polish composer and cellist, author of several albums released under the FatCat / 130701 label, whose sound oscillates between electronic intensity, the physicality of sound, and minimalism. Together as Ego Death, they form a duo where Aho Ssan's electronic architecture clashes with the rawness and intimacy of Resina's sound. And after last year's album premiere, Ego Death has become one of the most powerful new phenomena at the intersection of experimental electronics and contemporary, at times radical, composition. Concerts at festivals such as Rewire, Atonal, Unsound, and Lunchmeat confirmed that Aho Ssan and Resina now operate not as a sum of two names or an occasional project, but as Ego Death: a full-fledged band with its own deeply recognizable language.
