Christian Löffler & Detect Ensemble - NOSPR
Christian Löffler & Detect Ensemble
An innovative meeting of classical and electronic music. German musician and producer Christian Löffler returns to Katowice with a surprising concert combining the past and the present. On April 2, he will perform at the NOSPR together with the Detect Ensemble. During the evening we will hear, among others electronic arrangements of music by Bach, Beethoven and Chopin.
Christian Löffler has gained worldwide fame thanks to his emotional, original electronic music. He became famous for his impressive live audiovisual performances that elicit such reactions from audiences as closed-eye introspection and ecstatic dancing. In the artist's own words, he tries to combine "melancholy with euphoria" in his work. Now Löffler pays tribute to the outstanding composers of classical music and reintroduces their music into contemporary discourse. This year's tour by the artist promotes his latest, fifth album Parallels: Shellac Reworks. The album is filled with original interpretations of music by J.S. Bach, L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, R. Wagner, B. Smetana and G. Bizet. The release was published by the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label. Löffler's latest album compiles the achievements of the past with those of the present, setting a course for the future. The result is an encounter with timeless music, which we will be able to experience during the April concert in Katowice.
The NOSPR’s stage will host the string quartet Detect Ensemble under the direction of Paulina Sofie Kiss and Christian Löffler himself, who will be responsible for all electronics. The music will be accompanied by visualizations and lights designed especially for the tour, providing a mesmerizing and immersive experience. The concert at the NOSPR is the next stop on the Parallels tour after the sold-out show at the Paris Philharmonic. It's shaping up to be the musical event of the spring!
