New Music Orchestra

Founded in 1996 by Aleksander Lasoń, it is the oldest Polish ensemble that specialises in modern music. Since 2006, it has been directed by Szymon Bywalec and earned a reputation of an ensemble which can play the most difficult and challenging modern scores. Since its founding, OMN has commissioned works from contemporary composers, presented them during important music events in Poland and abroad, and recorded them on CDs. It has produced almost 150 world premieres and a large number of Polish premieres of the most outstanding works of modern music.
