JazzKLUB / Jakub Hajdun Trio - NOSPR

The pianist Kuba Hajdun graduated from the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, tutored by Bogdan Czapiewski and Włodzimierz Nahorny. He has also participated in several editions of Barry Harris’ jazz workshops in Italy.

He has been the leader of his own trio since 2017. A little more than a year ago, he also released a debut album, on which he is accompanied by the bassist Janusz Mackiewicz and the drummer Roman Ślefarski. It is, then, a classical piano trio and, in addition to that, performing a repertoire of jazz standards. Those, however, despite being penned by such makers as Bill Evans, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and McCoy Tyner, are not the jazz evergreens from the academic canon.
