In January and February, Fanshil will lead a 9-city tour of Germany with Klassische Philharmonie Bonn visiting some of the country’s most prestigious venues including Berlin’s Konzerthaus, Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle, Nurnberg’s Meistersingerhalle and Stuttgart’s Liederhalle. As Guest Conductor of the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Ankara (Turkey) Vladimir opened and closed their 23/24 season culminating in a triumphant large scale outdoor performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. He will make his debut with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Turkey in March 2025.

International highlights include working with the Budapest Festival Orchestra in subscription concerts and on tour, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, the Orchestre National d’Ile de France at the Paris Philharmonie, The Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. Vladimir conducted a new production of Pulcinella and Apollon Musagète at the Rijeka State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Croatia, conducted at the Odessa Opera and Philharmonic as well as large-scale works choral and orchestral works in Romania (Cluj, Targu-Mures and Oradea).

Having completed his five years of study in St Petersburg, Vladimir’s outstanding communication and team-work skills made him a preferred assistant conductor to musical icon Iván Fischer for three years. His time assisting and being mentored by Fischer resulted in working with the world’s leading orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic and  Concertgebouw Orchestra on the stages of some of the most renowned halls. Vladimir became a well-loved part of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin and later conducted both ensembles.

In Australia, Vladimir recently made his debut with Queensland Symphony Orchestra with resounding success, spanning romantic and contemporary repertoire. He has worked with Opera Australia on many occasions, including a recent tour to Uluru where he both conducted and accompanied on the piano. As a pianist he performed at the Music for Ukraine Benefit concert at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place in Sydney Australia, as well as over fifty critically acclaimed performances for Live at Yours, often with his wife, soprano Eleanor Lyons.

During the coronavirus pandemic Vladimir harnessed his entrepreneurial skills to found ‘Live at Yours’, a company bringing salon-style concerts to new audiences. In its first year, 85 concerts were presented thanks to Vladimir's rare mix of artistic, financial and business leadership. The ‘Live at Yours’ concerts showcased Fanshil’s range of talents from the piano, conducting or guiding audiences through the music using his excellent public speaking skills and love of poetry, in order to ignite a love of classical music in new and young audiences.

Vladimir was born in Odessa to a musical family before emigrating to Australia at age 5 where he studied violin and piano.
