Tadeusz Szlenkier’s upcoming engagements include Parsifal at the Staatstheater Nürnberg, Alfredo in La traviata and Chorus Opera with the Polish National Opera, Turridu in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Opera de Toulon, Silvanus Schuller in Penderecki’s Die schwarze Maske with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
In the past season Tadeusz debuted as Emperor in Die Frau ohne Schatten, and in a title role in a new production of Wagner’s Lohengrin at Staatstheater Nürnberg. He appeared as Cavaradossi in Tosca and Don Alvaro in La forza del destino at the Polish National Opera (co-produced with MET).
During the 2021/22 season, Tadeusz made major debuts as Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Wrocław Opera, and the Polish National Opera, Don Carlo at the Bern Opera, Manrico in Il Trovatore and the Italian Singer in Der Rosenkavalier at Staatstheater Nürnberg, where he also performed Don José in Carmen.
Since his debut on the Polish National Opera’s stage in 2015 as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Tadeusz has been a regular guest with roles like Stefan in The Haunted Manor, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Don Alvaro in La forza del destino, Duke in Rigoletto, and the title role in Rózycki’s Eros and Psyche.
His other significant roles include Slavonic repertoire - Shepherd in Szymanowski’s King Roger, Anatol Kuragin War and Peace, Prince Rusalka, Jontek in Halka, and also Italian spinto repertoire including Gustavo in Un ballo in maschera, Ismaele Nabucco.
