Radek Wośko - NOSPR

Drummer and composer, born in Szczecin in 1984. Before finally settling as a musician, he graduated from the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Shortly afterwards, he moved to Odense, Denmark, to devote himself entirely to his musical studies. There, he received, among other things, a one-year scholarship, during which he traveled to New York and then West Africa to explore the roots of contemporary jazz music. In 2014, he settled in Copenhagen, where he successfully became a part of the local music community, collaborating with numerous artists, including those from outside of jazz. In 2024, he returned to Szczecin, where he co-founded the Department of Jazz and Music Production at the Academy of Art, holding an Associate Professor position. He also works for the local music community through the Generator Sztuki Foundation. 

He has recorded over twenty albums as a leader and co-founder of various ensembles, starting with his own Chamber Trio, Contouring Trio, and Atlantic Quartet through and album with Tomasz Licak and Szczecin Philharmonic Big Band, as well as with collaborative ensembles such as Nelle Trio (PL/NO), The Beat Freaks (PL/IT), Entrails United (PL/DK), and Entropy (PL/DK). These releases have received excellent reviews in many European countries, as well as in the US and Canada. He is one of the founders of The Tomasz Stańko Experience/Scandinavian Art Ensemble, featuring 10 musicians from five countries, including Tomasz Stańko himself, for which he received an award from the Danish Musicians' Association DMF. He is also a Grand Prix winner at the 49th Jazz nad Odrą Festival in Wrocław with the Tomasz Licak/Radek Wośko Quartet (now Entrails United).
