Pavla Radostová - NOSPR

Pavla Radostová Soprano

Pavla Radostová was born in 1989. She began her singing career at the age of five in a family ensemble Musica Laetitia which focuses mainly on baroque music. She graduated from the Brno Conservatory and Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts Brno.

As a soloist and an ensemble singer she regularly collaborates with ensembles of various genres (Collegium Vocale Gent, Collegium 1704, Drei Engel, Musica Florea, Cappella Mariana, Czech Ensemble Baroque, Collegium Marianum, Reicha Quartet, Ensemble Inégal, Filharmonie Brno, Brno Contemporary Orchestra, Orchestr BERG, Musica Aeterna, Ensemble Opera Diversa, Tupá Šídla, Musica Laetitia, etc.) and with a number of conductors (P. Herreweghe, V. Luks, M. Štryncl, J. Semerádová, V. Semerád, W. Herbers, D. R. Davies, A. Liebreich, P. Veber, R. Válek, P. Šnajdr, M. de Rose, G. Tardonová, V. Spurný, Z. Klauda, S. Bagnoud, D. Kalousek, etc). In collaboration with some of them, she also participated in performing several compositions in the Czech and world premiere.

Her singing is often praised as very musical, natural, full of true passion with a wide scale of emotions, joy and sparkle, which goes hand in hand with the diversity of colours her voice offers and with a large voice range, stretching from angelic, bright and sweet to deep, dark and sensuous. Pavla is a very skilled soloist as well as an ensemble singer. She focuses on early, baroque and contemporary music, personally, she loves to discover the stories hidden in lieds and songs of any genre. Her strength lies in her musicality, flexibility and ability to learn fast (she is often invited as a jump-in). She has a good ear for intonation and she is a good team player. When performing she loves connecting with the audience as well as engaging with the other musicians.

She had her debut as Barena in Jenufa at the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice in 2018. As a soloist she also participated in the recording of several CDs (P. de Monte: Madrigali spirituali, J. P. Rameau: Les Boréades, F. Tůma: Te Deum, A. Brossmann: Missa in A, F. X. Richter: Super flumina Babylonis/ Miserere mei Deus, Resonate e plaudite, G. Grisey: Quatre chants pour Franchir le Seuil, Music for Sirens, J. Bons: Thirty Situations, Fausto Romitelli: EnTrance, Petr Hora: The Red of the Flesh, Hans Abrahamsen: Two Inger Christensen Songs, etc.)

In 2024, she had a great pleasure to sing the double roles of L’Amour and Clarine in the opera Plateé at the State Opera in Prague, which was ranked among the 10 best opera productions of 2024 by FAZ.
