Maciej Koczur
Maciej Koczur (born in 1989 in Bochnia) is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow, where he studied conducting with Professor Paweł Przytocki. He received a diploma with distinction conducting the Artur Malawski Philharmonic Orchestra in Rzeszów. Currently pursuing PhD studies at his alma mater, in 2014 Koczur received the Małe Berło Award of the Polish Culture Foundation, with his candidacy proposed by Maestro Jerzy Maksymiuk. In the 2013/2014 artistic season, he served as resident conductor of the Arthur Rubinstein Łódź Philharmonic. He was the youngest participant of the 9th International Grzegorz Fitelberg Conducting Competition (2012). In 2014, he reached the final round in a competition for the post of an assistant for Alexander Liebreich – Artistic Director of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice in 2014.
