Konstantin Krimmel, of German-Romanian descent, received his first musical training with the St. Georgs Choirboys in Ulm. At the age of 21, he began his vocal studies with Prof. Teru Yoshihara, which he completed with honours in 2020. Since then, he has been coached by Tobias Truniger in Munich. Even during his studies, the artist developed a special love for the concert and song repertoire, which he constantly expanded. Winning numerous competitions has decisively advanced his career. In the years 2021-2023, Konstantin Krimmel was supported as a BBC

In the 23/24 season, he will give more than 20 recitals, including in Madrid, Dortmund, London, Vilabertran, Elmau, Munich, Schwarzenberg/Hohenems and for the first time in Vienna (Konzerthaus). In a joint project with pianist Hélène Grimaud, he will perform Valentin Silvestrov's "Silent Songs" at the Ruhr Piano Festival and in Luxembourg.

The artist can also look forward to other concert projects, including the Brahms Requiem with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra under Sebastian Weigle in Oslo and Bach's St Matthew Passion with the Collegium Vocale Gent under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe on tour in Katowice, Milan, Antwerp, Brussels, Hamburg, Munich and Innsbruck.

Konstantin Krimmel has been a member of the Bavarian State Opera since autumn 2021. He will appear there at the beginning of the 2023/24 season as Figaro in a new production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro (director: Evgeny Titov; conductor: Stefano Montanari) as well as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Belcore in Donizetti's L'elisiser d'amore and Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte and at the May Festival in Wiesbaden as the Count in Le nozze di Figaro.

"Die schöne Müllerin", accompanied by Daniel Heide, was recently released on CD on the Alpha label. In spring 2023, the album "Silent Songs" (Silvestrov) was released, which he recorded together with Hélène Grimaud for Deutsche Grammophon. The second album with Hélène Grimaud entitled "For Clara" (songs by Johannes Brahms and piano works by Robert Schumann) will also be released by Deutsche Grammophon in autumn 2023.
