Karolina KuskowskaViolin
Karolina Kuskowska is a violinist born on June 15, 2006. She began her violin studies at the First and Second Degree Music School "Suzuki Institute". At the same time as learning violin, she began studying piano at the Sopot School of Music, which she graduated with honors in June 2020. Since September 2020, she has continued her violin studies in the class of Professor Małgorzata Skorupa at the F. Nowowiejski High School of Music I and II in Gdansk.
In 2021 and 2022, she received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, as well as a scholarship from the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for her academic performance and artistic achievements. In 2022, she received the Scholarship of the City of Gdansk and was accepted to the scholarship program of the National Fund for Children. Over the past 2 years, she has become a laureate of many international and national violin competitions, including:
- 1st place in group IV at the 16th Karol and Antoni Szafranek National Forum of Young Instrumentalists
- 1st place and Special Prize in the 2nd International Gloria Artis Music Competition in Vienna
- Grand Prix and Prize of the Rector of the Academy of Music in Gdansk in the IX National Violin Confrontations
- Second place in the older group in the 9th Tadeusz Wronski Youth Solo Violin Competition
- IV International Violin Competition "Witold Rowicki in Memoriam" - 2nd place in group IV
- 1st degree honorable mention in the 9th Georg Philipp Telemann International Violin Competition
- finalist title in the 7th National Competition of Musical Individuals "Atma 2023".
In recent months, she has performed at the Baltic Philharmonic Hall in Gdansk, the Ballroom of the Castle in Lancut, as well as the Villa Atma in Zakopane. She honed her skills under the tutelage of outstanding violin personalities: Prof. Magdalena Rezler, Prof. Michał Grabarczyk, Prof. Magdalena Szczepanowska, Prof. Łukasz Błaszczyk, Prof. Wiesław Kwaśny.
