Joanna Kędzior, born in 1994, obtained her bachelor’s degree at the Ignacy Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and her master’s degree at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under the tutelage of Professor Izabela Kłosińska.

She has won prizes at many international competitions including the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition in Dublin (2nd and Special Prize), Reszke Vocal Competition (3rd and Special Prize), Rudolf Petrák Singing Competition in Žilina, Slovakia (1st and Special Prize), and Riccardo Zandonai Competition for Young Opera Singers in Trento, Italy (Special Prize).

As a member of the Opera Academy at the Teatr Wielki Polish National Opera in Warsaw, she performed as Papagena and 1st Dame in “Zauberflöte”, Yniold in “Pelléas et Melisande” and Frasquita in “Carmen”.

She performed in Poznan as 1st Dame in “Zauberflöte“ and as Karolka in “Jenufa“, at Salzburger Festspiele as Alcina in “Der Gesang der Zauberinsel “, in Warsaw as Musette and Frasquita, in Gdansk as Gilda.

Until 2022/23 she was a member of the ensemble of Staatsoper Vienna, where she could be heard in such roles as Adina in “Elisir d’amore”, Najade in “Ariadne auf Naxos”, Barbarina in “Nozze di Figaro”, Flower in “Parsifal”, Clorinda, Konstanze, Woglinde and, Waldvogel.

She has worked with such conductors as: Giacomo Sagripanti, Bertrand de Billy, Antonello Manacorda, Philippe Jordan, Omer Meir Wellber, Axel Kober, Patrick Fournillier, Kazushi Ono, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Pablo Heras-Casado.
