Jian Meng Li - NOSPR

Jian Meng Li is from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. He started playing the cello when he was 5 years old. In junior high school, he started to learn the double bass. His teacher was the Chinese national level performer Xiao Bi Wei. Jian Meng Li is very fond of the double bass. He has been travelling around China in search of musical inspiration. He has won several gold medals in various official bass competitions in China. He graduated from the Katowice Akademia of Music as an undergraduate. He majored in double bass and was taught by the renowned Waldemar Tamowski. Professor Tamowski has a very rigorous and serious attitude, which influences Li to make continuous progress, and he will continue to make continuous progress with professor’s teachings. He has attended two master classes with Professor Jan Kotula.

Since 2018, Jianmeng Li has been performing with the student orchestra of the Katowice Akademia music ,2021 he performed Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Piazzolla's Autumn and Winter with the Taiyuan Harmani Chamber Orchestra. And by 2022, he passed the nospr Academy exams and continued his postgraduate studies at the Katowice Akademia.

He loves music as much as he loves life and he has been practising and studying the double bass with great effort.
