Delphine Galou hails from Paris and studied philosophy at the Sorbonne, as well as singing and piano. After the start of her career as a member of the "Jeunes Voix du Rhin" ensemble at the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg, she has quickly established herself as one of the most sought-after baroque contraltos of her generation. She has regularly collaborated the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, I Barocchisti, the Accademia Bizantina, the Collegium 1704, Les Siècles, Les Arts Florissants, the Venice Baroque Orchestra, Il Complesso Barocco, Le Concert des Nations, Ensemble Matheus, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Le Concert d’Astrée, and Les Talens Lyriques. In doing so, she collaborated with conductors such as Thomas Hengelbrock, Diego Fasolis, Ottavio Dantone, Václav Luks, Andrea Marcon, Alan Curtis, Jordi Savall, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Marc Minkowski, Emmanuelle Haïm, and Christophe Rousset.

In 2004, she was honored by the French Association for the Promotion of Young Artists as the "Discovery of the Year."

Delphine Galou is a regular guest at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the opera houses of Montpellier, Versailles, Lausanne, and Monte Carlo, La Monnaie in Brussels, and the Royal Opera House London. She also performed at the Zurich Opera House and the Berlin State Opera, as well as at the Baroque Festival in Beaune, the Handel Festival in Karlsruhe, the Schwetzingen Festival, and the Maggio Musicale in Florence, jut to mention a few.

Delphine Galou has performed in such roles as Medoro in Vivaldi's "Orlando furioso" at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Frankfurt Opera, and the Theater Basel. She interpreted Disinganno in Handel's "Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno" at the Staatsoper Berlin, and Bradamante (Alcina) in Basel, Lausanne, Bremen, Monte-Carlo, and Versailles, just to mention a few.

She sang Penelope (in "Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria") at the Theater an der Wien, performed as Speranza/Proserpina (Monteverdi's "L’Orfeo") at the Opéra de Lausanne and at Spoleto Festival in a new production signed by Pierluigi Pizzi. Delphine Galou also interpreted “Penelope” in the new production Il Ritorno di Ulisse in Patria staged by Robert Carsen with M° Ottavio Dantone and Accademia Bizantina at Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Abbiati Prize as Best Production in 2022), as “Ottone” in the new production of L’incoronazione di Poppea signed by Calixto Bieito at Zurich Oper, Andronico (Tamerlano) at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels and De Nationale Opera in Amsterdam, and Argene in Vivaldi's "L’incoronazione di Dario" at the Teatro Regio in Turin. As a concert soloist, she is a frequent guest in some of the world's finest concert halls. In 2017, her first solo album "Agitata" was released with the Accademia Bizantina under the direction of Ottavio Dantone, receiving critical acclaim (Gramophone Awards 2018 for "Best Recital").
