Daniele Camarda - NOSPR

Italian bassist, composer, and improviser known for his bold sonic identity and unconventional approach to the instrument. Blending string traditions from around the world with live electronics, his work moves freely between improvisation, contemporary jazz, and experimental music.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music (summa cum laude), Daniele has toured extensively across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East, and collaborated with forward-thinking artists such as Lionel Loueke, Leo Genovese, Markus Stockhausen, and Nguyên Lê.

His discography as a leader includes five critically noted releases – Solo, Dell’Incertezza, Sound Act, Still Nature, and Unveil.

In addition to his creative work as a leader, Daniele is a sought-after sideman in both live and studio contexts, bringing a distinctive voice to a wide range of collaborative projects. He has composed for films and documentaries, and has created original work for video art, contemporary dance, and theatre.

He has held the chair of Bass Professor at both Siena Jazz University and the Conservatory of Trapani, and has served as a visiting artist at conservatories across Europe.
