The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra is the premier orchestra in Poland and ranks among the most significant cultural institutions in the nation. For over 85 years, it has promoted mainstream Polish musical culture via its concerts, publications, and educational initiatives.

The most renowned musicians worldwide regularly perform with the orchestra, and the orchestra's spectacular headquarters is an inspiring venue for listeners and artists. Since April 2018, NOSPR has been a member of the ECHO organization, which unites 22 of the finest concert halls in Europe.

At NOSPR, we adhere to the finest traditions of the music world whilst also innovating with new artistic formats and seeking new ways of interacting with audiences. We are a co-organizer of the Katowice Culture Nature Festival, the Festival of Premieres, and the Music+Science Festival, as well as the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition.

As we continue to evolve and develop, we are looking for a new member to join our team:

ORCHESTRA MUSICIAN – ORGANIST

The auditions will take place on 29th February 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the seat of NOSPR in  Katowice, Plac Wojciecha Kilara 1.

Please submit your applications to NOSPR by post, Plac W. Kilara 1, 40-202 Katowice with  the note „do Działu Personalnego” on the envelope, or by email: rekrutacja@nospr.org.pl by 15th January 2024. In the subject line of your e-mail, please write the following “Orchestra Musician – Organist”

An application must contain a CV complete with a description of the candidate’s artistic  achievements. Please also prepare your application in English.

The candidate must indicate whether they will require NOSPR’s accompaniment. 

Only selected candidates will be invited to participate in the auditions. By 30th January 2024 at the latest, they will be informed of their participation in the auditions.

1st Stage:

Solo piece:
Olivier Messiaen: L'Ascension - part 2 - Alléluias sereins d'une âme qui désire le Ciel

Orchestra pieces:
Camille Saint-Saëns: Oratorio de Noël (Op. 12), part 1 Prélude
Karol Szymanowski: Veni Creator (until bar no. 19)
 

2nd Stage:

Orchestra pieces:
Francis Poulenc - Concerto pour Orgue, Orchestre et Timbales – from the rehearsal mark no. 46 to the end

Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 8, part 1 (from the rehearsal mark no. 38 until 45)

Sheet music of selected orchestral excerpts will be emailed to those invited to the auditions.
