Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra with seat in Katowice announces a competition for the position of: orchestra musician tutti - bassoon

The date of the auditions is 4th September 2020 at 14.00

  • only selected candidates will be invited to participate in auditions
  • applications are to be addressed to the NOSPR Personnel Department, by email or by post until 31st July 2020
  • an application must contain a CV, including a description of the candidate’s artistic achievements
  • a candidate must indicate whether they wish to use NOSPR’s accompaniment
Audition:

1ST STAGE:

  • W.A. Mozart - Bassoon Concerto in B-flat major, KV 191 (1st and 2nd movement without cadence)
  • P. Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 4 in F minor, op. 36 (solo from 2nd movement)
  • M. Ravel – Piano Concerto in G major (1st and 3rd movement)

2ND STAGE:

  • C. Saint-Saëns – Sonata for bassoon and piano, op. 168 (1st and 2nd movement)
  • Orchestra parts:
  • L. van Beethoven – Symphony No. 4 in B major, op. 60 (1st and 4th movement)
  • L. van Beethoven – Violin Concerto in D major, op. 61 (2nd and 3rd movement)
  • H. Berlioz – Symphonie fantastique, op. 14 (4th and 5th movement)
  • P. Tchaikovsky – Symphony No. 5 in E minor, op. 64 (2nd and 3rd movement)
  • W. A. Mozart – Overture from The Marriage of Figaro KV 492
  • M. Ravel – Boléro
  • N. Rimsky-Korsakov – Scheherazade, op. 35 (2nd movement)
  • D. Szostakowicz – Symphony No. 9, op. 70 (4th movement)
  • I. Stravinsky – The Rite of Spring (Introduction)

Sheet music will be emailed to candidates qualified for the auditions.

Applications are to be addressed to the NOSPR Personnel Department.
