The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) is a leader among Polish orchestras and one of the most important institutions of culture in the country. For almost 90 years, it has been contributing to the main currents of Polish musical culture with its concerts, publications, and educational activity.

The orchestra regularly performs with the greatest musicians in the world, and its spectacular seat is a place admired by audiences and artists alike. Since April 2018, NOSPR has been a member of the ECHO, an organisation bringing together 23 Europe’s finest concert halls.

At NOSPR, we continue the best traditions in the world of music, simultaneously creating new formats of artistic events and seeking new ways of interacting with audiences. We are co-organisers of the Katowice Culture Nature Festival, The Festival of Premieres and the Music+Science Festival, as well as the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition.

We are continuously evolving and developing, which is why we are seeking an employee to join our team in the position of:

ORCHESTRA MUSICIAN – TENOR TROMBONE
WITH A DUTY TO PLAY BASS TROMBONE PARTS

The auditions will take place on 28.03.2025 at 9:00 at NOSPR in Katowice, plac Wojciecha Kilara 1.

Please submit your applications by post, addressed: NOSPR, Plac W. Kilara 1, 40-202 Katowice, with the note "Dział Personalny” on the envelope; or by e-mail: rekrutacja@nospr.org.pl no later than 09.02.2025. Please title your email as follows: „Muzyk Orkiestrowy Tutti - Puzon”.

An application must contain a CV and a description of the candidate’s artistic achievements.

The candidate must also indicate whether they will require a NOSPR-provided accompanist.

Only selected candidates will be invited to participate in the auditions. They will be informed about it no later than on 28.02.2025.

Stage 1 – bass trombone

1. E. Sachse Concertino in F major, movements: Allegro maestoso, Andante (adagio)
2. R. Schumann Symphony No. 3 in E flat major, 4th movement
3. R. Strauss A Hero's Life (Ein Heldenleben)

Please note! The order of the pieces in Stage 1 is mandatory!

Stage 2 – tenor trombone

1. J. Brahms Tragic Overture (2nd trombone)
2. N. Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade
3. G. Mahler Symphony No. 2 in C minor
4. R. Wagner Tannhäuser

Stage 2 – bass trombone

1. J. Brahms Symphony No. 1 in C minor
2. J. Haydn The Creation

5. R. Wagner Lohengrin

Orchestra parts sent in the invitation to those candidates who are qualified for the auditions.
