Probably everybody would prefer to admire the original Mona Lisa than its contemporary reproductions, even those of the best quality. The need to come closer to the original, to discover the true form of the masterpiece, is what drives the historically informed performance approach in music. Early Music is a series of meetings with outstanding artists, who have passion not only for discovering the sound and techniques of playing on historical instruments but, first and foremost, for gaining a better understanding of how early masters thought about music.
